DOMINICAN ENVOY ATTEMPTS TO HIT MOTORCYCLIST IN CAR ACCIDENT|開車與大學生擦撞 多國公使被控作勢打人

On October 18, Dominican Republic's envoy Samuel Jonatan Castro Martinez got into a fender bender with a motorcyclist on his way to a clinic in Tamsui. Martinez got off the car, apparently irritated, and attempted to hit the motorcyclist. A passer-by took a picture of Martinez's erratic behavior and then put it online. Martinez said he was in a hurry to take his daughters to see a doctor, and will willingly apologize to the motorcyclist. The car was making a left turn when it got into a fender bender at the intersection with the motorcycle coming straight from the other direction. The driver got off his car, and walked towards the motorcyclist. The driver then seized the motorcyclist by the collar, and attempted to hit him. The police found that the driver, Samuel Jonatan Castro Martinez, is an envoy from the Dominican Republic. Martinez said he was driving his 3-year-old and 5-year-old daughters to a clinic in a hurry. The sudden braking of the car frightened his daughters. Neither of them wants to follow up the case. The envoy said he was willing to make an apology to the student. The media was not able to reach Martinez and the 19-year-old motorcyclist.
