Go away, leave. The recording is not allowed here, OK?
Most of those protesting veterans were enlisted in 1954 or from the special nuclear weapon military detachment Unit 8023. When their services ended, they were given a one-time pension of several hundred thousand Ribs, without job placement. Those veterans have lived with low subsidies and few medical benefits, their lives are not well off.
In the past 20 years, those veterans staged sit-in protests over 50 times, at an average of three times per year. However, they had been ignored and oppressed by Chinese authorities.
Chinese President Xi Jin-pin last year announced to modernize and downsize military by cutting three hundred thousand personnel. The government said the saved budgets were to use on high-tech navy and air force weapons. However, no further information was given about where those personnel and money went. The Reuters News reporters sent emails to inquire Chinese National Defense Ministry about the protest but never got response.
