President Tsai convenes first policy coordination meeting / 蔡首召開決策協調會 裁示國定假須統一　　　　　　　　　　

President Tsai Ing-wen convened a "policy coordination meeting" for the first time yesterday and demanded national holidays be observed uniformly nationwide. This means that the seven extra national holidays workers now enjoy will be axed; and to compensate for the loss, additional annual leave will be added in the future. However, labor groups lambasted the cancellation of the seven holidays as the government's taking sides with Capital and threatened to launch large-scale protests on Wednesday. As for pension reform, Tsai stressed that after convening a national affairs meeting, the administration will actively address income replacement rates, and the 18% preferential interest rate for state employees. However, pension reform for public and party officials can be addressed now. It was also announced that retirement compensation packages for both the President and Vice President will not exceed the limits set by the pension reform. In addition, Tsai demanded an investigation into the Mega Bank case.
