Taipei city education commissioner resigns / 完成階段性任務 北市教長湯志民請辭　　　　　　　　　　

There has been another resignation at Taipei City Government. Just after the resignation of Department of Legal Affairs Commissioner Yang Fang-ling, Department of Education Commissioner Tang Chih-min also resigned on Sept. 20, on the grounds that he had completed his mission. Tang will return to teaching at National Chengchi University on Oct. 1. ==TANG CHIH-MIN, Department of Education Commissioner== My workstreams have reached completion and I think quite successfully. Department of Education colleagues all work very hard, I believe their hard work, they have taken responsibility for Teacher Hsiao's case, which everyone is very concerned about. There are a lot of different views and aspects and from the educational point of view we hope to find some balance. In education, whether it is administration or the legal aspect there are always a lot of different views to consider and we thank everyone for their concern. Tang has been in the post of commissioner for one year and 9 months and many feel his resignation is related to the dismissal of Taipei Municipal Zhongshan Junior High School music teacher Hsiao Hsiao-ling. He says this is not the case, but that he just wants to continue his career plan which at the present time is to go back to university and contribute to education in the way with which he is most familiar.
