Directed and written by Wang Shaudi and other renowned directors, the Taiwanese television series, Qseries, recently collaborated with a publishing house on a graphic novel. The novel tells the story of how various actors became who they are today. What's even better, it's based on real-life stories of 20 actors.
On the first day of the comic expo in Taipei, thousands of fans gathered for their favorite comic series. This year, Qseries, a Taiwanese television project led by director Wang Shaodi, partnered with a publishing house on a graphic novel titled Magical Moments, which tells stories of how actors became actors.

Since it's written by Taiwanese writers, the dialogue is very colloquial, relatable and easy to understand, even for kids.
==EXPO VISITOR==
The facial expressions are realistically represented. In Japanese graphic novels, faces of characters are usually very pretty, but here the emphasis is more on emotion, which I think is nice.
Magical Moments is printed in full color and its artistic style is American. The plot is put together by award winning screenwriter Ko Yen-hsin after interviewing 20 actors, and the drawings are carried out by Hom, an award winning graphic artist. That the novel is based on real-life stories is meant to make it even more relatable to the reader. Meanwhile, the collaboration between Qseries and graphic novel artists has also created quite some sparkles.

Taiwanese TV drama has to find its unique path. For instance, it could experiment with different medium to achieve different dramatic effects. In fact, when Wang Shaodi was working on Grandma and Her Ghosts, she already said that neither graphic novels nor animations know any boundaries, an idea that has propelled this project.

Our role, or perhaps the editor's role, is to serve as an intermediary in between and help resolve any creative conflicts, so that one plus one can actually be greater than two.
Magical Moments will be published digitally on both smartphones and computers. In the future, Qseries will continue to produce contents in different forms, including television drama, short movies, graphic novels and illustrations. By experimenting with different creative mediums, the team behind Qseries hopes to introduce new dynamics to Taiwan's entertainment industry.
