Presenter: The Central Epidemic Command Center announced two more COVID cases, both located in Taipei City. One of them visited Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung by car and disinfection has begun at places where she visited.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported a new case, case 16254 on Sept. 20 in Taipei City. She is a student in her 20s who has just returned from the UK. She is staying in Taipei City but she traveled to Taichung on the afternoon of the 16th and ate at Chun Shui Tang teahouse Feng Le branch for almost an hour. The teahouse decided to take Tuesday, Sept. 21, which happens to be the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, off for disinfection. Nearby residents are aware of this news and are taking precaution.
Mr. Yang, Taichung resident:”I think the virus is floating around in many communities, so we all just have to take precautions on our own.”
The Taichung City Health Bureau said that no others present at the teahouse during that time have been quarantined since customers all sat according to checkerboard seating and plastic shields were set up on tables. Teahouse staff all wore masks and none of the 6 waiters and waitresses experienced any symptoms.
Tang Tzao-ing, Disease Control Division Chief, Health Bureau, Taichung: ”She had lunch at the Chun Shui Tang teahouse Feng Le branch in Taichung and she sat according to checkerboard seating. No others at the teahouse experienced any symptoms.”
She then traveled with family members down south to Kaohsiung, where they checked in and dined at the Grand HiLai Hotel on the evening of the 16th. The Kaohsiung Health Bureau ordered for disinfection to take place at the hotel on the 21st and quarantined 29 people who have come in close contact with the student, including family members, guests that stayed in rooms within close vicinity, hotel restaurant staff and cleaning workers, and hotel housekeepers. People quarantined are currently getting tested. Case 16254 also traveled to Tainan the next day on the 17th and ate at Taiwan’s Beef Soup restaurant in Guiren District and stopped for a break at the Dongshan Rest Stop. Tainan Health Bureau also ordered disinfections at these places. Tainan has had few COVID-19 cases and local authorities are working hard to keep Tainan safe from COVID-19.

民眾 楊先生：「我們相信各個社區，應該都有很多病毒，就自己做好防疫就好了。」
台中市衛生局表示，目前未匡列接觸者，因為該餐廳有使用隔板，並安排梅花座，工作人員皆佩戴口罩，當時外場工作人員共6人也都沒有症狀。
台中市衛生局疾管科長 湯澡瑛：「當天中午有到，台中市春水堂豐樂店用餐，春水堂豐樂店他們有用隔板，也有用梅花座相關工作人員都沒有症狀。」
16號傍晚女學生與家人南下高雄入住漢來大飯店用餐，高雄市衛生局21號早上也在飯店周圍展開清消，並且匡列29名接觸者，包含家人、入住特定房號民眾、餐廳服務人員、清潔人員與房務清潔人員等，正進行採檢。此外，17號女學生北上途經台南，曾在歸仁台灣的牛牛肉湯、以及東山休息站停留，衛生局也陸續清消，台南市府呼籲國內仍有零星本土個案，民眾應勤洗手、戴口罩，落實防疫作為。
