Kaohsiung City Mayor Han Kuo-yu said in a Facebook post that he will not take the recall result to court after over 900,000 people chose to oust him in a historic vote last Saturday. That means he will be relieved of his duties within days. In his last municipal administrative meeting. Han seized the opportunity to list his achievements and urge citizens to continue with their lives. Meanwhile, Han's supporters have been planning to stage a protest outside the Presidential Office this weekend.


Officials of different bureaus and departments within the Kaohsiung City Government applauded when they saw Han Kuo-yu stepped into the room. Han wanted everyone to speak their minds as it is his last time to preside over the municipal administrative meeting.

The meeting lasted for about 40 minutes before Han stepped downstairs for a group photo with the city government members. Many supporters of his also showed up at the Municipal Center to offer their encouragement.

We've fought the pandemic for the first half of 2020. From the first day of the Lunar New Year up till now, the domestic infection rate in Kaohsiung has been zero. As his days in office are numbered, the outgoing mayor would not forget to take this opportunity to mention his achievements. He also urged people to move on with their lives.

The Mayor was recalled. The City Council Speaker took his own life because he was worried about the development of Taiwan's democratic politics and the future of Kaohsiung. These were unprecedented events in the democratic history of Taiwan. Kaohsiung citizens have been depressed and disturbed, but I hope everyone can calm down and find the inner peace.

Supporters who are having difficulties accepting the result of the recall have applied for the use of the Ketagalan Boulevard on June 13 and 14 to demand justice.

The Central Election Commission has announced that the Central Government need to assign an acting mayor after the recall of Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu by June 12. The KMT Caucus in the Kaohsiung City Council has decided to end the regular meetings early on the 10th and cancel the Municipal General Inquiry so that the acting mayor will not need to be interpellated.

不少韓粉在旁邊情緒非常激動，面露不捨，韓國瑜拍完合照，也發表談話。

高雄市長 韓國瑜表示：「上半場2020年，我們防疫已經打完了，大年初一到現在，目前我們新冠疫情，本土在高雄感染是零，根據過去幾年的經驗法則，登革熱我們非常的重視，目前為止也是零。」

倒數時刻，不忘提出政績，代表自己沒有辜負高雄市民，同時喊話大家好好過日子。

高雄市長 韓國瑜表示：「市長被罷免，議長為了台灣民主政治的發展，以及憂愁高雄的未來，選擇了他悲憤的一條路，台灣民主史上，沒有這種事情，所以高雄市民朋友，這幾天，心情非常憂傷甚至不安、難過等等，我希望所有高雄市民朋友，能夠把心平靜下來。」

但顯然有韓粉不想要這樣就算了，已經申請這個月13、14號凱道路權，要號召民眾討公道。

民主監督聯盟總召集人 黃正忠表示：「我在六月八號，決然毅然的，我去申請了路權，這是抗議民主之恥，要追悼許崑源議長。」

中選會12號之前公告罷免高雄市長韓國瑜投票結果後，中央須派任代理市長，而高雄市議會國民黨團已經決議定期大會提前在7月10日結束，市政總質詢取消，代理市長將不用到議會備詢。
