Beware when you file for a loan! Credit loan services could subject its customers to fraud. A member of public with bad credit score had tried to get a credit loan company to help her get a loan, but ended up purchasing a second-hand vehicle at double the market price upon the loan company's request.
Stepping onto the SUV, Ms. Liu doesn't even know how to fire up the vehicle. On the other hand, Ms. Kuo, who already has a car, was persuaded by the credit loan company to apply for a loan to purchase a second-hand vehicle, which only added pressure on her already tight finances.
The monthly payment is NT$ 9,185 for the car. The car was then leased out in two months. I get about NT$ 6,000 in subsidies in the first month. But I need to pay a total of 48 installments, which comes to a total of more than NT$ 440,000.
The victim said that she needed cash but has a bad credit score, so she tried to get a loan from a credit loan company. The company told her that in order for them to help her get a loan from the bank, she had to first purchase a second-hand vehicle from their designated dealer in order to show that she has a tangible asset. The company proceeded to apply for a loan on behalf of the victim to purchase a vehicle at twice the market price. The victim fell into a deeper financial hole before she got the loan she needed, and she proceeded to call the police.
The victim has provided evidence and account of the whole process. We as police officers will fully cooperate and try to collect evidence.
The lawyer said that the situation has developed beyond a simple consumer dispute. The credit loan company has provided false information to the customer, and the act could constitute fraud.
If the credit loan company promised to be able to help the applicant get a loan, then it has clearly provided false information for the customer to believe, which means this loan company has engaged in fraud.
The lawyer said that, judging from the loan process, the customer has engaged in a transaction and she still has the responsibility to pay back her loan. But at the same time, she has the right to file a lawsuit against the company.
