Voters will head to the polls on Mar. 16. Both the pan-blue and pan-green camps are feeling the pressure of not losing in the Changhua County by-election. The Kuomintang's Changhua County legislative by-election candidate, Ko Cheng-fang, spent the day before the election visiting residents at a nursing home on Mar. 15. His opponent, the Democratic Progressive Party's Huang Zhen-yan, spent the morning riding through the streets in a motorcade in Lukang.

One of his opponents, the Democratic Progressive Party's Huang Zhen-yan, spent the day canvassing in Lukang as his supporters gathered on the streets. Huang said he has deep roots in the community because he served two terms as Lukang Township chief and he is a "Hemei son-in-law," and he is very confident the local people will support him.

The third horse in the race, independent candidate Chi Ching-tang, is an amateur politician. The pan-blue and pan-green camps will both hold election eve rallies in Lukang and Hemei. Both see the election as a "can't-lose" race.

藍綠對決之外，無黨籍的候選人紀慶堂，以素人的姿態參選，而選前最後一夜，藍綠都將匯集動員能量，在鹿港和和美造勢衝票，這席立委誰能拿下，藍綠都有不能輸的壓力。
