Warm Power Against China's Pressure: Foreign Ministry|對抗中國打壓 我有軟實力&暖實力

You have probably heard of the term "soft power", but what about "warm power"? The term is first coined by Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Wu, which means Taiwan can strengthen its diplomatic relations with other countries by offering warmth and positive contributions to the international society. Mr. Wu said he got this idea from a winter garment that has the term on it while lawmakers said more concrete actions are needed.
Based on my evaluation, the total power is accumulating, and it's all from countries with similar ideologies as Taiwan.
Joseph Wu said that he is confident about the international support behind Taiwan as China is ramping up its pressure on Taiwan. Wu said that, as China is trying to unify Taiwan with its economic prowess, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been actively responding with soft power and warm power. A legislator inquiries about the term "warm power" that Wu coins for the first time.
I've never heard of this term. Later on, I found a garment with the term "warm power" on it. It means Taiwan is able to bring some warmth to other countries, as in positive contribution.
Other than questioning Taiwan's power when facing the pressure, the legislators are also concerned about an incoming U.S. research ship. A draft proposal from the U.S. Navy is recommending a set of military exercises in the South China Sea in November. The legislator wonders if the ship is here to test the waters ahead of a potential military exercise, and how Taiwan should react in case that U.S. warships need help during the exercise.
During the show of force by the U.S. military, if problems occur on their warships and they are in need of supply or help, or something happens to their soldiers, are we going to allow them to dock in our ports? If it's a humanitarian situation, Taiwan has the responsibility to provide necessary help.
Legislators also asked Joseph Wu about when Taiwan will know about the possibility of attending the Interpol General Assembly as an observer.
Before November 18. When will the General Assembly be held? (The meeting will be held between November 18 and 21.) Jeez! You mean you have to wait until the day of the meeting? If you have no way of knowing that ahead of the General Assembly, there's no need to give me an answer. I'll know if Taiwan is invited to the assembly when it starts. You can't work this way, it's totally unacceptable.
Rumor has it that Taiwan had planned to donate US$ 1 million to the WHO, and the proposal was struck down due to pressure from China. Joseph Wu responded by saying that Taiwan is looking to make more contributions to the world by circumventing China's pressure.
