Former Executive Yuan Secretary-General Lin Yi-shih arrived at the Taipei District Prosecutors Office with friends and supporters cheering him on. Security personnel and the media were also on the scene. Lin had been accused of accepting NT$ 63 million in bribes during his time as a legislator and concealed NT$ 15.8 million. A second ruling sentenced him to 12 years and two years for corruption and property crimes of unknown origin, respectively. The Supreme Court has ordered a new hearing on the corruption charges but allowed the verdict on the property crimes of unknown origin to stand.
