Results of College Admissions Star Program Released|大學繁星放榜 24名滿級分學生落榜

The acceptance rate of the college Star Program fell slightly this year to 61.87 percent. There were 116 departments that didn't enroll anyone. There were also 24 students that got full marks on the entrance examination that didn't get admitted because their grades weren't good enough. Taipei Municipal Yucheng High School had Taipei's highest acceptance rate for the third year in a row, and was ranked 10th in the nation. Many of its students were accepted by their first choice. For the third year in a row, Taipei Municipal Yucheng High School had the highest number of Star Program acceptances in Taipei with 92. Yucheng ranked 10th nationally. Last year, our school's Star Program acceptance rate was 64.29 percent. This year, it was 68.66 percent. So, you can see our acceptance rate went up a lot. The school attributes its high acceptance rate to stringent applicant analysis and planning. I wanted to register for the entrance exam because the land economics acceptance rate was higher. National Taiwan University doesn't have a land economics program, so NCCU was next best. The Star Program gives students that don't do well on the entrance exam a second chance to get into their preferred schools. However, there were 24 students that got full marks on the exam this year that didn't get into their top choice because their grades weren't good enough.
