SAMSUNG ADVISES USERS TO TURN OFF, CANCELS PRODUCTION|三星宣布全球停售停換Note7 請用戶關機

Samsung has recalled it's Galaxy Note 7 phones due multiple incidents involving overheating or fire-related accidents. However, even after the recall the problem persist. On Oct. 10, Samsung announced that it will stop selling the model worldwide. The company further suggested that people with this model should shut it down immediate and stop using it. It then announced that it has permanently ceased production of this model. Even after changing the new Galaxy Note 7 for another model, the same problem persisted, burning the hands of its user and a table in a fast food restaurant. Problems have even occurred on planes and the phones have been banned from some airlines. On Oct 10. Samsung announced it will stop production and on Oct. 11 announced that people should turn off and stop using the phone, whether it was their original phone or a new one they had as a replacement. ==LUPINI Tech expert== New phones are an issue as well. However as a string of Note 7 fires started, Samsung said it was a battery problem. In September it recalled 2.5 million Note 7s worldwide and replaced them. But the problem persisted and twice in two months sales were halted. All this hit the brand reputation hard and literally, burned consumer confidence. Samsung has not indicated if it will permanently discontinue the Note 7. Samsung is known for innovation, now it's stock prices fell, and the situation is a gift for its rival, Apple, whose stock rose in the US market. Non-Apple smart phones such as Google's new Pixel series, HTC, Sony and other brands are all expected to benefit from Samsung's misfortune.
