NICE TERRORIST REPORTED AS DUAL NATIONAL|法國慶恐攻84死上百傷 歹徒被擊斃

The lorry which ploughed into crowds celebrating French National Day on July 14 was termed a terrorist attack by the French President Hollande. At least 84 people were killed and hundreds injured after the incident, the driver was killed by the police. According to French media, the driver was a 31 year-old Tunisian-born French man, but officials have not yet confirmed this. A state of emergency will be extended for three months. On the evening of July 14 after people enjoyed the fireworks in Nice for Bastille Day, a truck drove at high speed into the pedestrian area of the Promenade des Anglais at about 10:30 pm, running over crowds. ==EYEWITNESS== We heard people screaming and they were running on all sides, we looked back and saw and just three meters away was a lorry running people over, it ran many over. ==EYEWITNESS, US tourist== The fireworks were over, we assumed the fireworks were going off again but soon after we we saw people running and at this point we didn't know why we were running. Eyewitnesses said the driver was running people over the whole way and drove for 2 kilometers along the promenade, seriously injuring many and leaving many dead on the road. It was later discovered that the lorry was full of weapons and grenades. French media reported that the driver was a 31 year-old French Tunisian who lived in Nice. Police found his ID in the lorry and said he was a dual French Tunisian national.
