Hualien Magistrate Supports Apollo Chen for Taoyuan Mayor|傅崐萁偕妻赴桃園 為陳學聖造勢

Thers have been rumors that Hualien County Fu Kun-Chi would run for Taoyuan City mayor in the upcoming election. Fu has since rejected the rumor, and has expressed support for KMT Candidate Apollo Chen. Fu also said that he will travel up north to Taoyuan often in the following months to support Chen's campaign and to triumph over DPP candidates.


KMT Taoyuan City mayoral Candidate Apollo Chen is standing alongside Hualien Magistrate Fu Kun-Chi and his wife. Chen hopes to take advantage of Fu's popularity in the upcoming mayoral election.

We will absolutely reach the peak of the mountain. On November 24, 2018, when people look back on this day, they will realize that it's a pivotal point. We will give everything we have and I won't squander the support from Fu Kun-Chi.

Apollo Chen said that him and Fu Kun-chi will work hard together on the upcoming campaign. Although Fu never clarified whether he was going to run for Taoyuan Mayor, KMT member Yang Min-Sheng said that Fu had mentioned that he wanted to run in Taoyuan in March, but he decided to give up the opportunity and support Chen instead with respect to the party's internal strategies.

If me and Apollo Chen still engage in party infighting, we will squander people's expectation. We want to win 2020 (Presidential Election), to win back Taiwan. Therefore personal success is not important.

Asked about the Taoyuan city residents' lack of familiarity of him, Fu responded by saying that he will travel to Taoyuan frequently in the next four months and will work hard to help Chen triumph over his DPP opponents.
