Taiwan in for Torrential Rain Starting June 13|週三起全台有雨 氣象局:注意強降雨

There will be heavy rain all over Taiwan starting on the night of June 10. However, most of the rain will fall in coastal areas and the rain may not do much for the water shortage. The Central Weather Bureau says there will be thunderstorms all over Taiwan as well as torrential rain locally from June 13 to June 17.


The stationary front and southwest flow will affect Taiwan from Wednesday until Sunday. Due to abundant water vapor, weather will be extremely unstable all over Taiwan from Wednesday at least until Sunday. There may be heavy rain or thunderstorms and torrential rain locally.

Due to the stationary front and the abundant water vapor from the southwest flow, there will be heavy rain in the south starting on June 13. After the stationary front moves north, there will be torrential rain all over Taiwan for several days. The CWB says the rain period could also be extended and everyone should be on high alert. People in low-lying areas should prepare for floods and people in mountainous areas should prepare for landslides.
