Taiwanese-American NBA Star Jeremy Lin has traveled to Taiwan for charity activities. This year, he visited Hualien County's rural areas for the first time and interacted with the local children. He also sat down and talked with many students to encourage them to be confident always, regardless of others' opinions.

Jeremy Lin was quite amused by the students' questions. He has been traveling to Taiwan for charity for the last eight straight years. This is the first time he has come to Hualien County. During his conversation with local students, Lin encouraged them to be confident even when others look down on them.

Many people will tell you that you have no chance pursuing your dreams because you're young, you're a girl, the place you're from, you're not smart or good looking enough. People might look down on you. But you must keep your confidence.

Lin also said he hopes he can recover from his knee injury as soon as possible and help his team win a playoff spot in the upcoming season.
