Most people in Taiwan are not eating a healthy diet. The Health Promotion Administration says over 90 percent do not consume enough dairy products and nuts, and 86 percent don't eat enough fruit and vegetables.
Many children don't like to eat vegetables.
My mom will put what I need in my bowl. (Especially vegetables?) And I'll need to eat it as soon as possible.
(Do you like to drink milk?) I don't. (How much milk do you drink per day?) One glass of milk.
The Health Promotion Administration has demonstrated the amount of ingredients needed in clear portions. It is advised that, for each meal, one should drink one serving of dairy products, eat a fist-size portion of fruit and of vegetables. You should also eat a palm-sized portion of protein, a bowl of grain products, and a teaspoon of nuts. However, 99.8 percent do not consume enough dairy products, 91 percent do not consume enough nuts, and 86 percent do not consume enough fruit or vegetables.
Many don't eat enough vegetables, and some don't eat enough rice to lose weight. Thus, in order to feel full, people tend to eat a lot of meat.
The dietician said that nuts contain healthy oil, vegetables contain a rich amount of fiber, and the lack of these elements could affect the health of the intestines, as well as increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The dietician has advised the public to adopt a balanced diet and consume enough fruit and vegetables on a daily basis.
