Taiwan's National Sports Training Center recently has been having trouble, as its coaches and athletes published several complaints on the internet regarding the inadequacies of the center. In response, the head of the Training Center has submitted his resignation letter in hopes to close the case as soon as possible. Lin Chin-jung, the head of Taiwan's National Sports Training Center has responded to a coach's complaint on PTT, a local internet forum. In his response, he addressed six major issues, including inadequate training area for badminton players, as well as subpar food and accommodation quality. Lin Chin-jung said that the tendency of exposing issues on the internet has brought too much pressure to the staff members at the training center. Our athletes won 26 gold medals at last year's Universiade. If all the coaches complain on the internet, then our staff members will have a hard time doing their job since they'll be afraid of the coaches. Lin said that he submitted his resignation letter last Friday to the training center's CEO as well as to the Ministry of Education, with no response so far. The training center has asked members of the disciplinary department of the education ministry as well as those from the National Audit Office to investigate on the alleged embezzlement of funding for food. Lin Chin-jung used actual numbers to make his case, I think it is pretty evident. I wonder if some of the issues are caused by a lack of communication. We have listed a number of issues for discussion. As for whether Lin will stay on his position, we are still in discussion as well. The National Sports Training Center will hold a board meeting on Friday to discuss whether Lin Chin-jung will stay on. Lin, on the other hand, hopes for a quick decision in order to not interfere with the upcoming training sessions for the Asian Games to be held in Indonesia in August.
