KAOHSIUNG FERRY FARES RISE DUE TO NEW LABOR LAW|高雄旗鼓渡輪公告漲價 但持"一卡通"原價

Lots businesses have been adversely impacted by the new labor law since it was put into effect two months ago, and now Kaohsiung City Shipping Company had announced an increase to its ferry fares starting on March 1. However the price surge only applies to customers that pay with cash or EasyCards, people who use iPass will not be affected. Taking ferries between Kaohsiung's Gushan to Cijin, or between Cianjhen to Chungcho, fares are raised due to the increasing labor costs. Kaohsiung City Shipping Company has adjusted its regular fare from NT$25 to NT$40, student fare from NT$20 to NT$25. The fare adjustment is for passengers paying with cash or EasyCards. The fare remains unchanged If paying with iPass. ==PASSENGER== We wondered if it was that because they wanted to promote the iPass? Would it be that inconvenient to have two kinds of cards? Sometimes we forget a card. Sometimes we use iPass, sometimes the EasyCard and if we forget to bring the iPass, then in the future it will cost more to use the EasyCard. ==PASSENGER== For local residents, it does make difference after using it for a month or a year. Some passengers said, the fare adjustment should be fair, not specific to a certain group of passengers.
