Young civil servants voice support for pension reform / 憂年金破產 年輕公教發聲力挺改革　　　　　　　　　　

Indeed it might seem that protest has become the definitive sentiment of the government's national pension reform, at least among established public servent gorups. However, yesterday, a group of YOUNGER civil servants voiced their firm support for the government's commitment to overhaul the country's pension system so that it is fair to both the younger and older generation. Wearing masks, a group of young civil servants stood up to defend pension reform. They were afraid that those under the age of 45 would become victims in the sense that there would be no guarantee for their pensions should the fund go bankrupt in 2030. They demanded that reform be applicable to everyone and retrospective. ==LIN YU-KAI Civil Servant Reform Alliance member== If there is no money in the public service pension fund and the government is unable to pay the money, where does the money come from? It will come from the tax we pay. If the pension system goes bankrupt in 2030, NT$25 out of the NT$100 tax we pay will go to the public service pension fund, a bottomless hole. Analysts voiced support and pointed out the current system will see the young generation pay the most and get the least benefits.
