Park's approval ratings have for the first time dipped below 10 percent, now resting at 9.2. In an effort to shore up public support, the Blue House yesterday announced a cabinet reshuffle that saw the ousting of the country's prime minister. Meanwhile, the woman at the center of the storm, Choi Soon-Sil, who earlier on said in tears that she deserved death, now claims that she is innocent and remembers nothing. Choi Soon-sil, the woman accused of meddling with state affairs and leveraging her ties with Park Gun-hye to pressure conglomerates including Samsung and Lotte into donating an equivalence of NT$ 2.2 billion to her two non-profit foundations, stoking national outrage, now claims that she is innocent and remembers nothing.
