HUNGER STRIKE AT PRESIDENT'S RESIDENCE FOR MARKET DEMOLISHMENT|清晨拆果菜市場 自救會長蔡官邸前絕食抗議

On Oct 27 around 5 am, Kaohsiung City government dispatched police force and heavy machinery to the Shiquan Road Market. At 6 am, the city government began forcefully demolishing the residences. Of the remaining 6 houses, only one remains now. The self-help organization said the residents were ambushed, and this is just like another Dapu incident. In the afternoon, the president of Kaohsiung Market Self-Help Organization Wu Fu-hsiung came to Taipei and staged a protest in front of President Tsai Ing-wen's residence. At six in the morning, the city government began forcefully demolishing the remaining 6 residences at the Kaohsiung Shiquan Road Market. The only building left is the soy sauce factory, which has reached an agreement with the city government to demolish the building on their own. The government made a compulsory purchase of the land in 1972, and the court ruled that the purchase was legal in 1982. In May this year, the city government ordered the forceful demolition of the residences despite the residents' protest. The controversy will not likely be put to rest anytime soon. TRANSLATED BY：CHRISTINA LIU 六點一到，怪手開始拆屋，高雄十全路果菜市場僅存的6戶民宅，被拆的只剩一戶，已經與市府協商會自行拆除的醬油工廠，高雄市政府清晨的拆屋動作，讓自救會認為是突襲，儼然是苗栗大埔案的翻版。 ==高雄果菜市場自救會助理 陳永澤== 昨天(26號)第二位(自救會)成員 倒下之後 進入醫院 然後今天就來強拆 而且是用一個非常不正當的手段 就是 在清晨五 六點的時候 將我們自救會的成員 直接從房屋裡面帶走 屋子被拆了，氣憤的住戶到高雄市長陳菊的官邸前，撒冥紙、丟雞蛋抗議，結果被趕來的警方制止。對於清晨的拆屋，農業局強調，依法行政。 ==高雄市農業局副局長 鄭清福== 那我們都有依法喔 在法律上都完成法定的一個程序 那(住戶)在抗告的一個過程 那法院都已經是駁回的 所以我們來依照行政執行法 依法執行 下午，自救會長吳富雄更北上，到總統蔡英文的住家前抗議，他從等待希望到失望，從高雄到台北，絕食進入第100個小時。 ==高雄果菜市場自救會自救會長 吳富雄== 我今天只有一個要求 如果真的不行 我今天老命就賣給他 直到他出來講　 如果他不講 隨便派一個人 我們還是不接受 就坐在人行道上，堅持等到總統蔡英文出面回應，對此，總統府發言人黃重諺表示，人民表達意見，都會尊重。這塊從民國61年開始，被市府徵收的土地，南側成為果菜市場，北側還是住家，民國71年，法院判決徵收合法，民間與官方的交手，沒停過，今年因為市府要推動三民都心計劃，5月的一紙公文，執行強勢拆遷，拖了四十多年的徵收爭議，到了今天，房子都幾乎被夷為平地了，還沒有平息。 記者 綜合報導
