BUILDING FOUNDATIONS WASHED AWAY, RESIDENTS EVACUATED|基隆獅球路地基淘空 滾滾泥水沖民宅

On Oct. 9, a community built on a hill in Keeling had to be evacuated because parts of the building's foundation were washed away. The Keelung City government swiftly relocated 9 affected families. Officials also helped repair the building to prevent further damage. The city government is still investigating to determine if the incident was caused by torrential rain or ruptured water pipes. On the morning of Oct. 9, loud noises were heard on Shiqiu Road, Keelung City. Residents were shocked to find that parts of their building's foundation have been swept away by rain and water coming out from a broken pipe. The muddy water ran downhill and flooded more houses. ==MR HUNG, Resident== It was around 10:40 in the morning. I heard loud bangs, like something fell. I just told my family to run. The Keelung City government immediately sent experts to investigate and find out how to reinforce the building to prevent further damage. The police sealed off the area and evacuated the 9 families who are affected. ==FU LIEN-CHIN, Keelung City Fire Bureau Sergeant== An area of around 2 meters deep and 3 meters wide was swept away in the foundation of the building. Officials arrived at the scene after a 119 call was made. A total of 9 families, or 22 people were evacuated. City officials are still investigating to determine if the incident was caused by the torrential rain or ruptured water pipes. TRANSLATED BY：ANTHONY LIN 基隆市有一個蓋在山坡的社區，上午10點多地基流失，基隆市政府緊急疏散受到影響的9戶22人，並進行相關緊急處置避免災情擴大，至於是因為近日連續大雨或是水管破裂導致這場意外，還有待進一步調查。 星期日上午10點多，基隆獅球路有民眾聽到巨響衝出家門，竟然發現住家下方地基流失下陷2公尺，地基的土壤被大雨、以及自來水管破裂流出來的水沖刷，黃色的泥水不但沖入下方房屋，還往山下流，現場一度相當危急。 ==居民 洪先生== 差不多十點四十的時候 聽到乒乒乓乓的聲音 倒下來 我就叫家人快點跑了 基隆市政府也馬上派人到場勘查，要瞭解房屋的結構安全，並思考如何補強，以避免災情擴大，警方也拉起封鎖線，並且將9戶受到影響的22人先撤離到安全的地方。 ==基隆市消防局仁愛分隊 小隊長 傅蓮進== 他們地基掏空大約 深度大約二米 寬大約三米 請119通報 各相關單位到現場處理 總共疏散了9戶22人 並至區公所安置 不過到底是因為大雨讓地基崩塌，還是因為自來水管破裂導致意外，相關單位還要進一步調查才能釐清。 記者 張志雄 陳保羅 基隆報導
