TAIWAN TOURIST GETS INTO FIGHT IN PARIS|巴黎旅遊遭攻擊 台旅客掉落鐵軌送醫

An incident happened in Paris. Three Taiwanese tourists were visiting Paris; however, they had an altercation with three Eastern European immigrants. The altercation caused one Taiwanese male to fall off from the train station platform and suffer a broken arm. The Taiwanese national is in stable condition in hospital. A Taiwanese male was attacked by four European immigrants around 11pm on September 18 in Paris. The Taiwanese male took RER C Line near the Eiffel Tower, he fell off to ground rails from the platform and suffered a broken arm. ==ELEANOR WANG, MOFA Spokesperson== (Taiwan nationals) had altercation with four people who appeared to be Eastern European immigrants. After the altercation, the Taiwanese tourists got off at a metro station nearby the Eiffel Tower. They had an argument with each other. The injured Taiwanese is in stable condition. MOFA said the injured Taiwanese male was visiting Paris with his two friends. The four suspects spat at the three Taiwanese. Both parties had impolite actions to each other. Taiwanese passengers tried to get off the train at the next station, but his arm was grabbed by the suspects. The Taiwanese male's arm was caught by the train doors and dragged along the platform for several meters after the train started moving. French police notified MOFA's office in Paris. ==ELEANOR WANG, MOFA Spokesperson== He was rushed to the hospital for treatment at Paris 13 arrondissement. His current condition is fine. His arm was broken and he had surgery in the afternoon of September 19. He is under observation in hospital. MOFA's office in Paris contacted the injured man's family. French police obtained reports from witnesses and has continued searching for the suspects.
