The Huannan Market reopened on July 6 after a 3-day closure. Minister of Health and Welfare Chen Shih-chung encouraged vendors to "hang in there" as he believed the situation will be improving.
The Minister of Health and Welfare Chen Shih-chung, chief of the command post, Wang Bi-sheng and the Taipei Deputy Mayor Huang Shan-shan inspected the Huannan market, which resumed operation on July 6, after it has been closed down for three days in light of a recent cluster infection. While acknowledging businesses are being affected significantly during the epidemic, Chen Shih-chung also urges them to hang in there.

Crowd control measures are also in place as the Huannan Market reopens. PCR testing will be carried out at Shuangyuan Junior High School on the 6th and the 7th, while a large-scaled testing will take place on the 6th floor of the Huannan market on the 8th.
Some of the vendors who did not get tested could get it done today or tomorrow. There will be a large-scale testing on the 8th inside the market. People will not be allowed to enter without a test result issued after the 8th. Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je also arrived at the Huannan Market after participating in the National Epidemic Prevention Meeting and missed Chen Shih-chung. The Huannan Market Autonomous Association further says it will segregate the delivery personnel and the staff members of the market in order to avoid potential cluster infections. In addition, delivery personnel will be required to wear uniforms for easier identification and speed up response time if any breach of epidemic prevention situation arises. Staff members of the market will exercise stringent epidemic prevention measures such as wearing face masks and face shields, decreasing foot traffic, segregating traffic flow and implementing health monitoring measures.

衛福部長 陳時中表示：「生意也受到很大的影響，那不過真的要拜託大家一定要撐住！整件事一定會越來越好，現在在周邊的，不管它的一個採檢，看起來陽性的比率也越來越低。加上適當的管理，我相信疫情下來，大家生意會越來越好。」
環南市場復市後，人流降載，8日還將在環南市場六樓大規模篩檢PCR，6日、7日這天兩則是在雙園國中。
台北市副市長 黃珊珊表示：「一些攤商沒有來的，來不及來篩檢，今天、明天都還可以來篩檢。那8日可以在這邊大規模篩檢，要拿8日以後的PCR才能進出，接下來有跟執行長討論，15日以後會用疫苗，疫苗的證明進出。」
陳時中離開後，開完防疫會議的台北市長柯文哲也來到環南市場，兩人一前一後沒有碰面，環南市場自治會長林勝東也強調，市場靜置三天後，都是乾淨的，沒有病毒，希望消費者可以來環南市場。
環南市場自治會會長 林勝東表示：「沒生意，大家都很早就收。這些都是早收的，這不是空的，這都是早收的。沒生意，有人就不要來了，沒生意，大家就不來了。」
針對搬運工等人流控管，環南市場自治會採取分艙分流，並以制服顏色來辨識，萬一有情況，都能加速掌控和應變，工作人員也嚴格執行戴口罩和面罩、降低人流以及動線分流，落實健康監督。
