Due to the strengthening monsoon, many mountainous regions in Kaohsiung saw thunderstorms and floods, with several bridges being forced to shut down.
Thunderstorms brought pouring rain to northern Kaohsiung on the 26th, with flooding reported in Lujhu, Gangshan, Alian and Renwu. Many roads and bridges had to be shut down. Fortunately, no residential flooding was reported.
Gangshan's Jiawei and Baixing bridges were closed down due to surface flooding. A culvert in Kunshan's Xigang was also closed for the same reason. We're in the process of clearing water from Jiaxing Borough's Xingnan Harbor.
Gangshan bore the brunt of the flooding, with workers wading into Benzhou Industrial Park with their cars and scooters.
Erren River's water level reached the second warning level. We always preemptively close down (Alian's Zhonglu Bridge) when this happens.
Flooding was also reported on Zhonglu Bridge and Sanshinong Road in Alian and Taiping Road in Lujhu, as well as in culverts. Police have closed down affected areas and are asking road users to be careful.
高雄26號凌晨開始下起大雷雨，雨勢主要集中在北高雄的路竹、岡山、阿蓮、跟仁武等地區，造成部分道路跟橋面早上因為淹水而暫時被封起來，水利局早上總共接到八件淹水通報，所幸目前沒有水淹進住家的通報。
高雄市水利局防洪維護科防災股股長 王大維表示：「岡山區：嘉為橋、百興橋等，因為路面，它的橋面有積水，有暫時封閉。崑山西巷那邊，也有一個涵洞，也是積水，目前也是封閉當中。嘉興里的興南巷的部分，也是道路積水，目前的話，在處理當中。」
早上通報的淹水路段主要都在雨勢較大的岡山地區，本洲工業區早上就有網友拍到上班時間，民眾開車或騎機車涉水的畫面。
高雄市水利局防洪維護科防災股股長 王大維表示：「因為二仁溪的水位，有達到二級警戒，因為以往達到警戒的時候，我們都會先做一個（阿蓮中路橋)的封閉管制。」
除了岡山區，阿蓮區的中路橋跟三十農路及路竹區的太平路等地方，也有部分路面跟涵洞淹水的狀況，為了用路人的安全，目前都被警方暫時封起來了，也提醒用路人經過要特別注意。
