The Naval Warship Chin Chiang launched a Hsiung Feng III missile, which ripped through a Taiwanese fishing vessel, killing the boat's captain and injuring three crew. Prosecutor confirmed the fishing boat was hit by a high-speed object, and obtained surveillance videos from the warship. The two navy suspects' mobile phones were confiscated for investigation purposes. Victim's family went aboard navy's boat to the point where the fishing boat was hit by missile. The object damaged partial section of boat's mast, flew through the area between the mast and funnel. From the large hole, prosecutor suspected the missile had entered from the front-right end, Captain Huang was immediately killed by the high speed missile hit. Prosecutor points out the missile launch requires five standard procedures, the suspect Petty Officer 2nd Class Kao Chia-chun negligently pressed the launching button, prosecutor will make judgment of whether he was intentional or unintentional.
