Tsai Ing-wen Gets Medigen Vaccine at NTU 高端疫苗開打首日 蔡總統赴台大接種

President Tsai Ing-wen leads the way in showing support for Taiwan's first homegrown vaccine by receiving a dose of Medigen at 7:30 a.m. at a gym of National Taiwan University. In a Facebook post, She says the entire process was speedy and she could carry on working in a good shape for the rest of the day. Meanwhile, several Democratic Progressive Party lawmakers also rush for a Medigen vaccine on the first day. 

President Tsai Ing-wen got a Medigen vaccine on Aug. 23, the first day the vaccine is available.

Medical Worker vs Tsai Ing-wen:” Do you want to get a Medigen vaccine today? Medigen? Yes.” 

Before getting the shot, she had her temperature taken and consulted with a doctor.

Medical Worker vs Tsai Ing-wen:” It's over already? (Yes. You're done. You probably didn't feel a thing.) I didn't feel a thing. (Did it hurt?) No.” 

Afterwards, Tsai put her thumb up, showed her yellow vaccination card, and posed for a photo with vaccination workers. Tsai wrote "it was over very quickly. It didn't hurt at all. I'm in great spirits and will work the rest of the day" on Facebook. Then she went home for a video chat with the Olympic athletes.

Among several pan-green lawmakers, Cheng Yun-peng also got Medigen vaccines on Aug. 23. He wrote on Facebook that the vaccination only took a minute and he wasn't feeling unwell. Kao Chia-yu, another pan-green legislator, had herself livestreamed getting a jab.

Kao Chia-yu, Legislator (DPP):” To tell you the truth, my arm is a little sore.” 

Cheng Ting-fei went back to Tainan to get vaccinated. Tsai Yi-yu went back to Chiayi to get vaccinated and also live-streamed the process.

Tsai Yi-yu, Legislator (DPP): “No, it really didn't hurt. It really, really didn't hurt!” 

Tsai will have a dedicated medical team monitoring her for side effects of the Medigen vaccine.

量完體溫、醫生問診後，準備接種疫苗。

打完疫苗後，對鏡頭比出讚的手勢，秀出疫苗黃卡，並與現場打卡背板合照，更隨即在臉書上表示：「一下子就打完疫苗，不會痛，現在精神很好，要繼續一天的工作。」隨即返回官邸，與東京奧運選手進行第三梯次，也是近期最後一場次的視訊會議。

許多民進黨立委也在同一天施打，鄭運鵬回到桃園接種，在臉書上表示，每個人接種，大概1分鐘就能搞定，到目前為止，沒有不舒服的感覺，而高嘉瑜在臉書全程直播，在內湖網球中心接種情況。

民進黨立委 高嘉瑜：「打完到現在說實話手臂有點酸。」多位綠委亦打高端疫苗 分享心得或直播，陳亭妃回到台南施打，火速施打完畢。蔡易餘則回到嘉義朴子接種疫苗，全程直播。

國產高端疫苗接種第一天，許多民進黨立委特地回選區接種，而蔡總統在接種疫苗後離開現場，後續交由醫療團隊掌握身體狀況。
