Lawmakers across the aisle are expected to lock horns today as the budget of the first phase of the forward-looking infrastructure plan passes through a legislative committee. Meanwhile, the legislature's budget center has found various faults with the current budget.

We do not believe that there will be any reason to withdraw and re-exam the program.
The Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program is to be reviewed by committee, however many of its budget details are found improper by the legislature's Budget Center.
Examples such as Academia Historica, National Fire Agency, and Ministry of Economic Affairs had submitted their already-designated duties and expenditures into the Program; Council of Indigenous Peoples, Hakka Affairs Council, Construction and Planning Agency, and Ministry of Finance had submitted old proposals similar to the ones in the Forward-looking Program. A recent completed water-saving project by Water Resources Agency, and the agency re-proposed for another funding without project efficiency being assessed.

You also need to asses for parking structure, what is the usage rate and location? Including what is usage turnover rate? Why is DPP so anxious for?

Maybe because of KMT has no representative seat of Tainan, therefore they tend to pick on the issues related with Tainan, Kaohsiung and Pingtung. The Budget Center has long been watching things based on Taipei perspectives.
Due to controversies provoked by Asia Cement Corporation, the legislature is also scheduled to review the Mining Act, but the Executive Yuan has not submitted its version.
==VOICE: HSU KUO-YUNG Spokesperson, Executive Yuan==
Reviewing the Mining Act in extemporaneous meeting is a self-motion requested by legislators, it is not related with Executive Yuan's version. The extemporaneous meeting is not able to review our version, I think there is a
remedial alternative for legislative procedure.
KMT caucus threatens that they are going to boycott sessions, and DPP legislators replied that they will react as hard-liners.
