AIRPORT MRT SAFE TO OPERATE AFTER FINAL INSPECTION|調查委員會:機捷安全無虞 履勘後可通車

The opening date of the Taoyuan International Airport MRT has been delayed several times. On Aug. 27th, the TIA MRT Supervision Committee held a press conference to present its final report. The committee said the stability of the airport MRT has seen significant improvement and its safety can be assured. The system can be launched after the final inspection. Taoyuan City Mayor Cheng Wen-Tsan said the threshold requirements for operations are not the same as the final acceptance standards. The airport MRT can begin operations and continue to improve to meet the final acceptance standards. Ministry of Transportation and Communications Minister Ho Chen Tan said the timetable for opening has not been confirmed yet.


Baggage can be checked in by just a few touches on the screen, and passengers can then take the MRT from the Taipei Main Station to Taoyuan International Airport. However, the start date for the Taoyuan International Airport MRT has been postponed repeatedly. After 2 month's intensive inspections, the airport MRT Supervision Committee required 4,522 errors to be corrected. Now the list is down to 25 items. On Aug. 27th, the Committee reported that the airport MRT is free of safety concerns, but the minister of the MOTC Ho Chen Tan said an opening date has not yet been scheduled.

There is no timetable. We need to ensure the system's safety and stability before it's launch. (Will it open at the end of the year?) We do not have a confirmed schedule.

The start date of the airport MRT has been delayed multiple times. Ho Chen Tan denied the allegation that the airport MRT will open at the end of the year. However, Taoyuan City Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan said the threshold requirements for operations are separate from the final acceptance standards. If the system's stability can be assured, the airport MRT can begin operations and continue to improve to meet the standards for final acceptance.

The final acceptance can be completed after the airport MRT begins operations. We need to meet the final acceptance standards, and they are different from the threshold requirements for system's launch. We will conduct simulations for operations as required by the MOTC and the Committee.

According to the contract, the standard travel time from the Taipei Main Station to the Airport Terminal 1 Station is 35 minutes, but currently it is till 1 minute longer than the stipulated requirement. There are also other issues with contractors. Ho Chen Tan said the contractual issues will be resolved legally.

機場捷運的通車目標,是屢屢跳票。昨天,機場捷運的調查委員會,舉行總結記者會,強調機場捷運的「穩定性」大幅成長,而且安全無虞,只要通過「覆勘」就可以通車。而交通部長賀陳旦,則強調通車沒有時間表,也否認「年底通車」說法。

放進行李,再按一按營幕,就能自動托運行李,從機場捷運A1站到桃園機場,輕鬆成行,但機捷通車一再跳票,機場捷運監理調查委員會,經過2個月密集會勘,過去桃機列出4522項缺失,已一一釐清到只剩25項,27號總結宣布機捷"安全無虞",但交通部長賀陳旦仍表示,通車沒有時間表。

機場捷運營運時間屢屢跳票,賀陳旦否認外傳年底通車的說法;不過桃園市長鄭文燦表示,驗收標準是交通部的權責,但"通車門檻"可以和"驗收標準"分開,若以穩定性測試標準通車之後,仍可逐步找出缺失,繼續改善,朝驗收標準的目標來前進。

由於機捷合約中,從台北車站A1站到桃機一航廈A12站,行車時間要求35分鐘,但目前測試結果,仍有1分鐘的差距,中間還涉及承包商丸紅,和下游包商合約問題待解,賀陳旦表示合約,將依法律途徑解決,絕不打折。
