Early Sunday morning, a man in China's eastern province of Jiangsu allegedly set fire to a 2-story residential building and then locked the doors. The fire killed 22 people out of 29 in the house and injured three.
Behind the theft-proof doors and windows, fire was still burning as emergency response teams tried to put out the flames. The doors and windows made it difficult for people in the house to escape. The fire started at 4:30 in the morning and was put out an hour later. 22 people were killed. In the afternoon, a man surnamed Jiang was arrested while hiding on top of a nearby building. Local police has identified him as the suspect of the arson. The building was rented by a restaurant in the same neighborhood for its employees. Further investigation, the police says, is under way.
